Loved the program, allows me to do most of the things i would expect it to do. All other finance programs i demoed were hard to use or had unecessary features. Three things i would like to see added: 1) Ability to exclude an account from reports/charts. 2) Pasword protection 3) Ability to have a bi-weekly budget (how i get paid :S) keep up the great work

At first I thought it was too simple but I gave it a chance. I came to realize that it is very useful and very easy to use. I was also in touch with the support team and it is the fastest and most positive response I ever got from a company. If youre looking for something fast, easy, inexpensive, and reliable, this is the perfect app. Areas to improve: 1) More types of graphs with option to choose what categories I want included. (It only has a simple line graph) 2) No exporting features. I love the program and truly hope for great updates.

This program is easy to use. very simple way to manage your saving. but i hope the program have weekly balance. it is hard to check the trend after a month. weekly trend is better. hope the term can do it.

This application has revolutionized the way I spend my money. I have become much more disciplined. Could you add a component focussed on saving money towards something you really want to get like a new car, a new mac, or a down payment on a new home? I got this app mainly because I was puzzled at where my $500 towards a new iPad had disappeared to.

I like how simple this app is but I was dissapointed to find out after I purchased it that it does not have a print function. I needed to be able to print my transactions sometimes. I would think that would be pretty simple to add.

Savings is minimalist, well coded, and easy to use. Great for manually entering receipts and tracking monthly spending without all the distractions and bloat found in other finance programs.

I just purchased Savings. I was looking for a simple and inexpensive check register to track expenses. I use MSMoney on a seperate laptop (its only function) and wanted a program that I could use on my iMac so I could put the laptop away. The biggest problem with Savings is it does not have a running balance for each transaction, it only has the account balance listed on the bottom of the page. If you input future transactions, it deducts the amount from the current balance. I like to be able to input estimated future expenses and paychecks to help plan my budget for the next few weeks or month. Without being to see the current balance and the impact of future transactions, it makes it more difficult. Savings seems very basic and easy to use. The addition of a running balance column, like a traditional check register, would be a huge improvement to me and would bump my rating to 4 stars.

I recently switched from a PC to a Mac. With that change, I had to abandon quicken. I did a lot of searching and downloaded just about every free trial available. I found Savings to be perfect for my needs. I just need something to keep track my accounts in one place and transactions that I cannot make online. I really love how easy this program is to use. Importing data from my bank was seamless and setting up accounts was super easy. I really like that I can see a projected balance for the month after all bills are paid. This makes budgeting easy. I dont care much for graphs but like the bar graph that shows all of the categories and how much is spent in those categories. Just about everything is customizable. Customer service is very responsive and quick to answer questions and accept feedback. Overall, this program is simple and intuitive.

I have been using this App for almost a year and I love it! It’s very intuitive and super simple to keep up to date. I only wish my finances were in a better state (but that is certainly not the apps fault). The designer is wonderful to work with. I had to reformat my hard drive and had a hard time tracking down the original file on my Time Machine. He spent a few days figuring it out and got me the answer (it was a Lion problem). I tried it tonight and my long-lost data is officially back!!!!

I was able to import banking information, but could never set up the categories for the transactions. No longer using app - waste of money.

Not a bad App, However it can be improved. First, it would be nice to have balance column on the right side stay on permanently. Every time you close the App, it disappears. There is no way to leave it on there permanently. Second, it would be nice if we could filter out outstanding items only (items that didnt clear), so we can see total amount of uncleared items. Also speaking about uncleared items, it would be nice to be able to enter the month when that specific transaction cleared. So if that item cleared 3 months later, we could enter 3 for march. A Column with that option and sort feature for month cleared would be great. If you would just add those things, this app would be awesome.

It fulfills my purpose to organize finances in a simple manner. I can appreciate the time that was taken to create this app and make it easy to use. Thank you.

I agree with "SavRev." It would be extremely helpful to permanently keep the balance column showing. And also have the option to see all transactions. If these things were to be improved, it would perfect this already wonderful, simple application.

I really enjoy the simplicity of the app. My biggest gripe is that it does not import CSV (though months ago they promised me it was a high priority) or any other files except those from Quicken and Microsoft Money. It would also be nice to add categories on the fly, rather than from the preferences menu. All in all its a solid app, and you cant beat the price for what you get.

does what it says! I love this app, its just simple to use. I was looking for something to help me keep track of my monthly expenses. With this app, Im able to determine how much i have left at the end of each month (so not to overspend). :-) another thing that impressed me the most is the creator/developer of this program. when you get into a problem and like theres no one that can help you fix it, Yi will do everything to help. I had an issue thinking it was a problem with the app and it ended up being an issue with my iMac, apple didnt help me but Yi did, he helped resolved my issue!!!! He is AMAZING! went above and beyond to just make a client happy! Also, any suggestions you give him, he acts on it… he takes all suggestions and feedbacks to heart and update the system to everyones liking. Thank you YI! you are amazing!!!

The developer, Yi Lin, is constantly working on upgrades for the program. He actively solicits user comments on the support page and responds very quickly to suggestions. The current version is missing some key features, but all are on their way: * Printed reports * Exports using QIF and CSV formats * More controls over reports This program is good for anyone needing simple cash accounting without some of the bells-and-whistles needed for a business. It will quickly evolve into a superb cash management program. Unless you need all the improvements today, Id recommend this app so that you dont end up paying for another app and switching to "Savings" down the road.

I certainly prefer to keep track of my own financial gain/loss and this app does seem effective for the time being. It allows for simple creation of mulitple accounts even from different banks and allowing you to even post transfers between accounts so that you know where all of your balances stand before the bank shows the result online. ***My request*** - I think this app should add some sort of remote app for the iPhone so that you can make your adjustments away from your computer… there should be a way to do that. I would love to see that happen and honestly it would put that last star up there for a 5 star rating.

Great application, just still in its young days. Would love to see some exporting to reports or a spreadsheet built-in for the next release. This is an extremely simple app to use and is really great for basic bookkeeping. Keep up the good work and hope to see some updates soon!

Downloaded a trial before I bought it. Am very happy with its simplicity, clean uncluttered look, and really quick response to questions from Yi. App works really well! Would have loved colored pie graphs and such, but at this price I can live without them. Would love to have the iPhone app to sync with… will wait for that!

I love this app and use it for everything but I bought a new computer and you have no way to export the data so I can get the data onto the next computer. I want to continue using this app but I am not going to manually copy years of expenses onto the new laptop. Please update. I would give 5 stars for update. Thanks
